La Chiripada Winery
La Chiripada Winery, tucked away in the lovely Embudo Valley of northern New Mexico, is owned and operated by the Johnson family in the town of Dixon, 50 miles north of Santa Fe and 25 miles south of Taos. The winery was established in 1977, following the traditions of the first Spanish settlers, and the name La Chiripada (meaning "a stroke of luck") was adopted from the original ranch where the winery is located. Rio Embudo Red 1998, Rio Embudo Red Reserve Selection 1998, Winemakers' Select Red 1998, Cabernet Sauvignon 1998, Vintners' Reserve Red 1998, Chardonnay 1998, Rio Embudo White Barrel Select 1998, plus other white and dessert wines.
