Jeanne Halsey
After several summer vacations exploring the Southwest Jeanne and her husband decided to relocate to Taos, New Mexico in the fall of 1995. Work with metal began a year later when she was drawn to the traditional art of northern New Mexican tin work. Jeanne is entirely self taught as a tin artist & her diversified art background has been useful - a strong architectural eye is apparent in her work. Jeanne's award winning tin work has been shown in the Santa Fe Museum of Fine Arts, "Taos Invites Taos", The Craft Alliance in St. Louis, MO & at the "Sculpture & Objects of Functional Art" show in Chicago, IL. Her work is in private collections across the US & Japan.
