Andean Software began in 1984 with an artist's love of finely made weavings, soft alpaca fibers, rich colors and a fascination that led to chasing high quality textiles all over the world. Today it is an impressive collection of wearable art and clothing made primarily by artisans from Peru, Bolivia, and Ecuador. The owner, Andrea Heckman, selects each piece personally as she returns annually to meet with her artisans and suppliers. Jewelry, clothes and textiles from Bali, India, Ireland, Mexico, Turkey and the United States complement the finest alpaca sweaters and coats. Italian made Tecnica apres ski boots are not only beautiful, good for your feet and as comfortable as slippers; they keep you from falling on ice and snow, which we are so fond of in our home location in Taos Ski Valley.
