Taos Peace House
The Taos Peace House and Infoshop is one of a growing number of progressive activist infoshops and peace centers. The global coordination office of Food Not Bombs started the Taos Peace House with a grant from Ben and Jerry's Foundation. The Taos Peace House continues to support the Saturday Food Not Bombs vegan meal at the Taos Plaza from 2 to 4 PM. We are still organizing actions for peace, social justice and the earth. The Taos Peace House is also the home of the global coordination office of Food Not Bombs helping start and support new chapters, organizing tours and Food Not Bombs Gatherings. A peace house and infoshop is a storefront or social center that serves as a node for the distribution of radical and progressive information, typically in the form of books, zines, stickers and posters. Infoshops often serve as a meeting space and resource hub for local activist groups. The Taos Peace House and Infoshop will provide zines, books, music, and information about how to create an alternative society based on peace and equality. Your support is needed. The Taos Peace House supports many local projects like Food Not Bombs, Indymedia, Food Not Lawns, and other progressive activities. We are growing food, organizing the registry of land with water rights to help feed Taos County.
