The Equine Spirit Sanctuary also realized the value of offering a sanctuary for people. Through The Equine Spirit Sanctuary program of rescue, rehabilitation, relocation or retirement for horses in need, their goal is to save horses that otherwise may die of neglect or suffer unnecessary abuse. Through saving horses, we may also touch the lives of the people who share a desire to help the horses. Volunteers may assist with the day to day care of the horses, under a carefully supervised program in which they learn how to properly care for horses and learn new skills in horse handling.
