In 1998, wildlife biologist, Roberta Salazar, established Rivers & Birds as a nonprofit educational organization. Today Rivers & Birds programs, conducted by a skilled staff of scientists, research biologists, and educators, are available throughout Northern New Mexico, and serve as examples to others. Rivers & Birds invites you to join. In the community: Rivers & Birds offer educational workshops, wildlife demonstration opportunities, community screenings of Rivers & Birds award-winning documentary Nuestras Acequias, and the annual Wild Film Festival (fall) and the Eco Film Series (spring). All of these activities are fun and exciting ways to learn about our environment.
