Taos National Society of Watercolorists
Website
Organized in 1992, the Taos National Society of Watercolorists is dedicated to promoting the production of professional quality watercolor on both local and national levels. Exhibitions in Taos include those at the Taos Art Museum, the Millicent Rogers Museum, Martinez Hacienda, the Bareiss Gallery, the Stables Gallery, The Historic Taos Inn and others. Teaching members of the Society conduct beginning and intermediate watercolor workshops through Art Workshops Taos. The Taos National Exhibition of American Watercolor, the society's major project, exhibits annually in Taos, most recently at the renowned Millicent Rogers Museum.
Signature membership in TNSW is limited to artists living within the Taos area, and selected for membership by a jury of current members, and to national artists who have works selected for the National Exhibition for three years. Associate members are connoisseurs of the Taos art community who are interested in furthering the goals of the organization.
