Logan Wannamaker
Logan Wannamaker lives and works in Taos, New Mexico. His gallery and studio are located a few minutes North of Taos and about an hour and a half drive North of Santa Fe. Logan is the director of Taos Clay, a community studio offering classes, workshops and residencies. His gallery showcases wood-fired, charcoal, salt, soda and saggar fired ceramics. His work is both functional and decorative and embodies the colors of the Southwest using regional minerals, local soft woods, and atmospheric firing techniques. He produces functional dishes ranging from mugs, cups, bowls plates and vases to wall hangings, sculpture, ikebana, and contemporary interior decoration. Logan Wannamaker is represented in many local and national collections and his work is sold exclusively out of his gallery in Northern New Mexico. Taos Clay is a fully equipped ceramic studio with a plethora of state of the art clay equipment. The studio has a salt/soda/charcoal kiln, a high fire reduction kiln, electric kilns, a raku kiln, pug mill, clay mixer, extruder, and 9 electric wheels. Memberships, classes, workshops, school and afterschool programs are available. Members can work either in private studios or in the very popular large shared workspace. Classes and workshops include Raku, figurative sculpture, wheel throwing, glaze composition, coil building, hand building and Majolica. Kiln building will be a part of the Taos Clay program in 2005!
