Megan Bowers Avina is a nationally recognized, award winning photojournalist who makes her home in Taos, New Mexico. Megan Bowers Avina is the photo editor and chief photographer for The Taos News, a stringer for the Santa Fe New Mexican, The Albuquerque Journal, the Associated Press and regularly shoots for various magazines and newspapers across America. Megan's work may be found in many private collections nationwide, including that of Senator John Kerry. Megan's loving heart and generous nature make her work unique and unforgettable. Megan is dedicated to animal rescue and believes that every animal deserves a safe and loving home. Much of the proceeds from Megan's work goes toward the care of the animals she fosters at her Taos home and barnyard. She holds a BFA from Parsons School of Design.
