Fractal art is created by calculating fractal objects and representing the calculation results as still images, animations, music, or other media. Why am I a photographer and fractal artist? The common element in these art forms is the temporal. I use time...in my photography the moment is the message. In the realm of zeroes and ones, I take a snapshot of an event. Time is part of a fundamental human intellectual process in which we sequence events, quantify the duration of events and the intervals between them, and compare the motions of objects. Sometimes I completely invent the condition and sometimes I use data sets from NASA or other sources. Just about everything I do relates to the environment; whether that's earthly, political or within my on psyche. I want to keep you guessing, hell who knows what's going on in the human brain anyway! That being said, the fractal images to me are a substitution for the lexis I humbly cannot avail myself of...so I guess one can fall back on the expression, “a picture is worth a thousand words.” Thanks for looking!
