Kimosabe Gallery
Owners Cynthia Spray and Robin Rew have harmoniously blended their individual specialized understanding of historic materials as well as their personalities to create a truly great collecting/shopping experience. Kimosabe Art Gallery is a mecca for art and antique collectors and decorators from all over the world.
Historic pueblo pottery (Zuni, Hopi, Acoma Et Al), vintage Navajo rugs, Native American blankets, old pawn jewelry, American Indian baskets and beadwork, New Mexican furniture, and numerous historic paintings and drawings from noted early Taos, Santa Fe and other American Western painters. Vintage Wild West show and early Western movie posters, along with New Mexican folk art also hang from the walls and vigas. For more than twenty years, Kimosabe has showcased the rich art history of Taos, Santa Fe and the American West in its' small but soulful space.
Situated in an 1860's adobe along a charming brick-lined alley just off the Northwest corner of Taos' main plaza, the shop exudes the charm of old Taos. Step through the front door, and you are immediately surrounded by a remarkable display of vintage ethnographic art, principally from the American Southwest.
