Anna Karin Gallery carries the work of local artists who live in or near Truchas, a traditional village established in 1754 as part of a Spanish land grant. Anna Karin Gallery is showing in a restored 100 year old adobe structure that was formerly a church. Anna Karin Gallery's collection is diverse and represents the efforts of seasoned artists. They are committed to showing the very best quality in an artist driven setting. Their work is our life and we are pleased to share both. The gallery is usually staffed by one or more of the exhibitors, offering the visitor an opportunity to speak directly with the creators of the work on display. The gallery features the work of Anna Karin, a classical painter of the imagination working in a layered Renaissance style. Anna's work consists of landscape, figure and still life executed in oil on linen. The abstract paintings of Jeane George Weigel. Jeane draws inspiration from the power of the land of New Mexico to create works that offer an impression of the history and majesty of this place. Photographer, Craig Scogin is represented by a selection of archival prints as well as photographs in the book format. Craig's work is primarily landscape and artifact in a straight photographic style. Bill Loyd is a well known regional artist who employs recycled materials to create a variety of bells and sculpture. Bill creates objects of visual and sonic beauty from items that would otherwise remain in landfills for ten thousand years.
