Doc Thompson, an independent fly fishing guide, has been stalking wild trout in Northern New Mexico's many gems for 2 decades. First discovering the lure of the Waters of Enchantment while backpacking the mountains of the Philmont Scout Ranch. Thompson moved to New Mexico full-time after working and fishing many seasons at Philmont. Doc's patience and calm demeanor presents a comfortable atmosphere for guiding anglers new to the sport as well as teaching new tricks to old dogs who have been fly fishing for years. Thompson presents numerous slide shows and seminars for clubs and fly shops throughout the Southwest and Midwest on dry fly fishing his favorite waters. Doc is an accomplished writer as well, contributing articles, essays and photos to magazines and books.
