Linking - Submissions of New Site Links:

BEFORE you submit a new listing.
Check to see if the site you want to submit is already listed in the taoslink.com directory. Almost all of the Taos Web sites are already listed on taoslink.com. If you find that your site has been previously listed, then see "Linking - Claiming A Listing", below.

The site link you are submitting must be verifiable as being from or about Taos. The expanded territory of Taos in the eyes of taoslink.com: This site covers a different area than just the edges of the town or county. Some things are listed here as a service to Taos locals that may include certain Web sites out of this area in Espanola, Santa Fe and even far-off Albuquerque. Some links on taoslink.com are "state-wide". For example, most New Mexico State offices are in Santa Fe. Some submitted links of this type are approved and some are not.

Note: Check the bottom of this page for "Important Rules for New Submissions". This will make submission of your listing go very smoothly.

How to Submit a New Site for Linking
Go to the Section and category that is appropriate for the Site to be linked.

In the example below, you would go to "Activites" section and in the "Astronomy" category to list your stargazer site.

Find the Proper Category

Now you can register your Web site but clicking "Add Listing" in the menu on the right side.

You will then see the following window.

Add a Listing and Link for Your Web Site

For Info about adding images and locating in map, see below.

Linking - Claiming A Listing:

When you are logged in, make sure you are on the Detail Page of your listing (that's the page you get when you click on the title a site listing), you will see a link that says "Claim". Click that to submit a claim as owner of the site that is already listed.

For security reasons, site claiming is Not Automatic. Site claims must be approved by an administrator. You may receive an email asking a few questions, to 'prove' that a site is yours (just in case we don't know you personally, or by rep).

Claiming a Listing

Why is it a good idea to keep your old listing? Mostly because it already has clicks-throughs counted and those clicks contribute to whether your site appears in the "Most Popular" listings.

Adding Items to the map:

Be sure you have added your complete address, then Click "Locate in Map"

After Address Added then Locate in Map

The Map Marker will be automatically placed.
Automatic Map Marker

If the Map Marker is in the wrong place just drag it to your place on the map. If you don't have a physical place for you're site, we just put the marker a little bit south of the airpost in a place we call LaLa Land.
Drag the Map Marker to Correct Spot

Adding Images to your listing:
